Timor-Leste - Koileki Washing Station

A rarely visited origin for us, is Timor-Leste. I think this is only the second time in 8 years that we’ve sourced coffee from there. Over a third of households in the country depend on coffee to put food on the table, and our buying partner on this one - Raw Material - are helping to put in place systems to ensure sustainability in the industry there.

And in the cup it’s an intriguing wee piece: big hits of cocoa up top, with more complex tea like flavours and a blood orange acidity lingering in the background,
