TASTING NOTES: Hobnobs & sticky toffee pudding. Syrupy sweet but with an intriguing gooseberry zing that adds a bit of balance and keeps it just on the right side of Holy 'S' that's sweet!

From a rarely found coffee growing region, in a rarely found origin country, with a rarely found combination of flavours. The Buhinyuza Commune is in one of the least populated and lesser-known coffee producing regions despite the perfect combo of flat land and high altitude. Importantly, producers of this coffee are paid a premium of 18% on top of the local market rate, and washing station staff are paid 60% above the average labour rate.

Investment has been returned to the area through the building of a school and health care centre for the community, which is a vital resource for the region’s coffee farmers and families. This coffee has been sourced by Raw Material who aim to provide maximum impact and work to create wide-reaching community benefits through and beyond the production and sale of coffee
